ABOUT ME
My personal take on psychotherapy
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process facilitating change and personal growth. I believe this is best done through developing insight and awareness into what might be creating limitations in one’s life, together with providing empowerment and support to overcome
these obstacles. At the core of my therapeutic approach is the establishment of a supportive, empathic and authentic therapeutic relationship. I take on an integrative approach incorporating a variety of
therapeutic techniques in order to meet the individual needs of each client.
Experience
I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the North West University in Potchefstroom and completed my HPCSA-accredited internship at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital. I worked in a variety of settings (University Counselling Centre, Hospitals, Health Care Train, and Community Mental Health Clinics) gaining experience in a wide spectrum of mental health difficulties. I pride myself on continuous personal and professional development to ensure high quality service at all times.
